Qatar’s National Swimming Team won the Arab Championship

Qatar’s Swimming Team Won 9 Medals

Recently, the state of Qatar’s national swimming team won nine medals at the first Arab swimming championship for all age groups hosted by Abu Dhabi, as it is one of the best achievements by far for Qatar in this championship. In this champions their athletes won around, 3 gold medals, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals at the Arab Championship Tournament. In this swimming event there were around 174 swimmers from 16 countries.

In this thrilling event, Qatar’s Tamim Mohammed from national team secured gold medal for the 100m butterfly in the 14-15 year category which is an amazing feat by itself. On the other hand Mohamed Mahmoud from 16-18 year category won the gold medal for the 200m medley race, the swimming competition was about 25 meters in total length. Qatar’s other swimming athletes consisting of Youssef Hassan, Karim Salah, Omar Hassan and Mohamed Mahmoud won the gold medal in the free race for 16-18 years old. These athletes have made the nation of the Qatar proud.

Qatar’s National Team Winners

In this competition from 19 years old and above category range the Qatari winners were.

  • Abdulaziz Al Obaidli got the silver medal for the 200-meter medley race.
  • Omar Hassan secured a silver for the same race in the 16-18 years category.
  • Tamim Mohammed won the bronze medal in the 50-meter backstroke for the 14-15-year-old category.
  • Youssef Hassan also won the bronze medal for the same race for the 16-18-year-old category.
  • Karim Muhammad won the bronze medal in the 1500-meter freestyle for the 16-18-year-old category.

In this event there were many Qatar’s team delegation present as well, which are Ibrahim Al Rumaihi as manager and Omar Khadash and Gesta Fobiza were presented as coaches, so on and so forth this was the best accomplishment so far for the state of Qatar.
